Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

- Transfer to the hotel in Moshi (overnight stay).
- Pre-climb briefing in the evening.
Day 2: Moshi to Rongai Gate - Simba Camp
Day 2: Moshi to Rongai Gate - Simba Camp
- Elevation: 6,000 ft (1,800 m) to 8,500 ft (2,600 m)
- Distance: 8 km (5 miles)
- Depart from Moshi in the morning and travel to the Rongai Gate.
- Begin the trek through pine forests, reaching Simba Camp for your first night.
Day 3: Simba Camp to Second Cave

- Elevation: 8,500 ft (2,600 m) to 11,300 ft (3,400 m)
- Distance: 5 km (3 miles)
- Trek to the Second Cave, a shorter hike, allowing time for acclimatization.
- Enjoy scenic views of the Kibo peak and spend the night at camp.
Day 4: Second Cave to Kikelewa Camp

- Elevation: 11,300 ft (3,400 m) to 11,800 ft (3,600 m)
- Distance: 10 km (6.2 miles)
- Hike through moorland to Kikelewa Camp, where you'll enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations.
- This day allows for some acclimatization and preparation for the ascent.
Day 5: Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Hut

- Elevation: 11,800 ft (3,600 m) to 14,400 ft (4,400 m)
- Distance: 6 km (3.7 miles)
- Trek through beautiful landscapes to Mawenzi Tarn, located at the base of Mawenzi Peak.
- Spend the afternoon exploring the area and acclimatizing.
Day 6: Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut
Day 6: Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut
- Elevation: 14,400 ft (4,400 m) to 15,500 ft (4,700 m)
- Distance: 8 km (5 miles)
- Depart Mawenzi Tarn and trek to Kibo Hut, where you'll prepare for the summit attempt.
- An early dinner and rest before beginning the ascent at midnight.
Day 7: Summit Day and Descent
Day 7: Summit Day and Descent
- Elevation: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft / 5,895 m) and back to Horombo Hut
- Total elevation change: 19,341 ft to 12,500 ft
- Depart Kibo Hut just after midnight to start the summit ascent to Uhuru Peak.
- Celebrate reaching the summit, then start your descent back to Horombo Hut.
Day 8: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
Day 8: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
- Elevation: 12,500 ft (3,800 m) to 6,000 ft (1,800 m)
- Distance: 20 km (12.4 miles)
- Complete your descent to Marangu Gate and receive your summit certificate.
- Transfer back to Moshi and overnight stay at a hotel.
